Want to learn modern calligraphy and write your own unique home decor print?
Join me at Abbot House for a 2.5 hours workshop of modern calligraphy using a brush pen and learning blending techniques.
 
Calligraphy is the perfect way to get yourself back into the present moment, away from mental chatter.  Calligraphy requires a deep focus and slow movements to place the right amount of pressure to obtain the thick and thin strokes forming each letters. 
 
You will learn:
how to set up your space / hold pen and paper for comfort
the basic strokes that form letters
how to connect your breath with the pen strokes
practising writing the alphabet,
joining letters to form words, 
practising writing inspirational words and phrases.
how to blend colours and create an gradient effect before moving onto your final project writing your very own text/quote for a wall art print.
 
All materials are provided and for you to keep to continue your practice at home. 
Your calligraphy kit includes:
workbook with practice sheets, templates and guidelines 
1 brush pen 
paper banner & card
There will be different sizes and colours of brush pens to use during the workshop.
 
No calligraphy experience necessary for this workshop, you will learn everything to get you started on your calligraphy journey. The workshop is suitable for beginners and it doesn't require neat handwriting or drawing skills.  You will be guided through the essentials of modern calligraphy with demonstration and 1-2-1 guidance.

Please note, tickets cannot be refunded. If you are unable to attend, please let me know 48 hours in advance.
