I can't believe it's already September, time to slowly come off from holiday mode (for anyone being on holiday anyway). I didn't go on holiday as such-at least not abroad and for more than a few days in a row - but I'm lucky to live surrounded by amazing landscapes - so when my partner came back from his 3 weeks holiday/family visit in France, we took a break from work together and went camping for a few days - and the weather was gorgeous too. We were blessed with gorgeous weather the last two weeks of August, and spontaneously went off grid (my partner is the type to just decide on the day...I'm more the organised type who likes to decide in advance and plan...a great combo I would say). The first trip was initially to test our new car/mini van set up, so we didn't go far and stayed along the Fife coast (Ellie, St Andrews and Tentsmuir)...and it was just WOW...I'm more of a countryside gal but the beaches were just so appealing... The second camping trip was on the West exploring the Trossachs, swimming in lochs and forest walks...so lush and luckily we didn't get caught by ticks...only a few midges (nothing drastic though). Here are a few pics showing Scotland's beauty...
Apart from this lovely me-time, I've been working on a few commissions, which took some time and I still haven't finished my new project involving mini banners and embroidery hoops. The next two weeks I'll dedicate most of time to it as I aim to launch them at my next market. CRAFT FAIRS So if you're local, I'll be holding a stall at the Kingsgate Shopping centre in Dunfermline on the 18th of September and 2nd of October hosted by Small Business Market. So if you're in the area, come and say hi, I'd love to meet you. Another exciting project I'm looking forward to this month is my participation as an Ambassador to the BETTER BRUSH LETTERS COURSE hosted by the lovely Milly from Blink Lettering I've already talked about it in the previous letter and I can highly recommend the course, it is a 6 weeks course starting on the 6th of September in which you'll learn everything you need to start your calligraphy journey. It is a LIVE course which you get lifetime access to once you signed up (which means you can go back to it whenever suits you). You'll be learning alongside other students and you'll get support, advice and tips from Blink Lettering as well as from myself and the other Blink Ambassadors. There is also a Facebook page you can join to share your progress, meet everyone participating and ask questions, get feedback, etc. It's a very thorough course with a detailed workbook and easy to follow videos. There's also a section dedicated to left-handed. The course is still at the introductory price of £55 until the 5th of September (after this it will go up to the full price of £109).
Next to being one of her Ambassador I am also an affiliate to the course, which means that If you sign up with my link, I'll get a percentage at no extra cost to you and I can put that extra money into making lovely new products. If you would like more information on the course, feel free to get in touch, I'd be happy to answer any questions you may have.
I've recently added a monthly calendar freebie to my newsletter. so if you'd like one, sign up to my newsletter. I promise I won't spam you, you'll hear from me maximum twice a month some info with new products and what I've been up to.
I hope you have a splendid month of September!
Until next time,
